TOPIC: Using Import CSV

Using Import CSV 2 Years ago Karma: 0
I have finally tried using the Import Feature.

I have saved the csv sheet as seperate and the file type as CSV (Comma, delimited).
From there, i imported the sheet as a trial with only 1 video source including the first row as stated.

the video source is a remote link with extension .flv. I have included all the required field for the import but has not yet succeeded. I have tried it with different sources and still no progress.

I am using microsoft excel 2003.
Would i need to be using excel 2007?

Has anyone successfully gotten the remote link import feature to work?
If so, please note/guide.

Have you checked the log to see what error(s) there are? Your log file is located here: www.yoursite.com/jMediaDirect/videos/csv/report.html ---> just replace "yoursite.com" with your website address.

Hey man thanks for the reply. Here it this:
watch.tvbanimeonline.com/jMediaDirect/videos/csv/report.html

It says it's Ok, but it still has not been added to my video list.
I am using this as a remote server link.

I found several bugs in the Import Data Feature.

1st Bug:

After loading the CSV file with all the data and clicking on view log, it redirects to watch.tvbanimeonline.com/administrator/j...deos/csv/report.html
whereas the actual report file is located without the administrator directory.
(without "/administrator/"

2nd Bug:
After the video has been imported and going back to the video management in administration to check the New video is in the list, it displays the video link on my server/host:

watch.tvbanimeonline.com/jMediaDirect/vi...8T6bQK5s6ul65EBh.flv Moive not found

However, on the front end the video is able to be played.
watch.tvbanimeonline.com/?v=th1k48VFTvZry

Basically Bug #2 is located in the back-end when viewing the video it does not playback.
