I've managed to install the component and enter the correct path to PHP, to do this I had to put the directories and files to 777 permissions involved.

If after installing again leave directory permissions to 755 and 644 files I get the following error:

• Please enter at absolube path of php configuration -> converter
• Configuration file (init.jvideodirect.php) is NOT writable.

The security policy prevents me make that served me so long, my question is:

Why not use the component layer FTP to modify the init.jvideodirect.php? Why having saved the absolute path of the php now haven't memorized? Can I install old plugins on the new version 1.1RC 1A?

This is introduce from ver 1.1rc1a for "fetch link only"
this is used for the stability of fetching video. If without it, some server may also work using the backup method.

This is done through joomla file system, however, some people never use "component layer FTP".
you mean the security policy has restricted you to do so?
If it is too much trouble for you, then we may need to put up an option.

depends on how old, if it's before release of 1.1, the anwser is no.
