I'm trying to makea simple video gallery, youtube style. The only videos shown will be the ones I add, but I want the users to be able to rate, comment, and have the app keep track of hits, etc etc etc.

I installed the extension through Joomla on my shared server. Under Add Video Mechanism (Fetch Link Only): I have Yes selected and the Youtube plugin is enabled.

I tried to upload a video from youtube using the fetch it option, and I get the following:

Parse error: parse error, unexpected T_OBJECT_OPERATOR in /home/content/l/i/l/liles13/html/main/components/com_jvideodirect/plugins/youtube/youtube.php on line 69

Any thoughts?

there is no problem with the youtube link, I can fetch it successfully.

this must be due to sub directory issue... ..JVD has issues if joomla is installed in sub directory, try version 1.1 which is expected to release by end of month
