TOPIC: Upload Mechanism's not working
#2081
Upload Mechanism's not working 2 Years ago Karma: 0
Hello,

We are having an issue at the moment where we are unable to upload videos when the upload mechanism is set to "Uberuploader - Perl", or "Uploadify - Flash".

When we set the upload mechanism to "Uberuploader - Perl" we get this error very soon after clicking upload

Error: Failed to find Flength file

The location of the ubr_upload.pl file is set to /cgi-bin/ubr_upload.pl and this file does exist in this location.

Perl is definately installed on the server but I have not seen anywhere to set the path to perl in the Jvideodirect config (if it needs to be set at all).

When we set the upload mechanism to "Uploadify - Flash" There is no upload button at all.

The strange thing about this one is that it was working fine a week ago.

The JvideoDirect Check Up passes and the tester completes successfully as well.

Could you please offer some advice?

To get this issue sorted out we are happy to upgrade our subscription to include ticket system access but we are not sure how to do this.

with flash upload, it should start upload when a file is entered with permitted format.

for ubr-uploader, you will need to set this up in the server level, very like permission problem

Thanks for the tip cassie.

After a bit of reseach the Ubr_uploader is now operational.

The ubr_upload.pl file had 644 permissions. We needed to change these to 755.

Thanks again
