Just started to test the earlier bought JVideoDirect stuff.

Problems after the 1st testing day:

-cannot give utf-8 supported chars to tags, because it gives me "Seprerate tags with comma" notification:
tried: Hadházi-> get notification, but with hadhazi it worked.

-fetcher sometimes get dead... I mean I really don't know what happens. No box pops up, just clicking on fetch button but nothing happens. It worked earlier, but after a time, not. Don't know what can cause this... Reinstalling component makes it workable again.

-also tried fetching youtube videos where embedding is disabled (www.youtube.com/watch?v=3aFiseAKABE), or where moviemusic is disabled due copyright violations(www.youtube.com/watch?v=2cyJaCuNinI). None of them works, backend writes out fetching, but nothing happens.

-getting DATE_FORMAT_JVD on date added fields, and date checked fields.

-also would be great to solve somehow, that if somebody makes a template for himself, no to rewrite it always when a new release comes out, because as I seen it's around 1-2 weeks when a new edition comes out.

-on a black/dark-based template it looks horrible.... really-really horrible...

utf8 - we will take a look at it.
i suppose you are using 1.1RC3a. This version fixes jquery loading problem on some sserver.
when it says fetching for a long time, that means it cannot be fetched. have you follow instruction written in the wiki-installation. have you passed checkup tool and tester tool.

DATE_FORMAT_JVD=%Y-%m-%d is right on the top of language file and they are there.
for the theme system, we are working on it ...

jvd has launched only 3 months. We are trying to stabilizing it and having theme system in a lower priority. We will be there soon.

2nd day.

-I'm using 1.1RC3, on Joomla 1.5.14.

-Date problems solved with adding lines u said. The fault was at me because I'm using my own language file, I translated from an earlier edition and I do not checked for new lines in it.

-I'm using fetch method "Download to server". Fetcher is still getting dead. As the fetching method was still in progress, I deleted those videos. It's really funny, because after I delete those videos which cannot be fetched, fetching gets fully dead, I mean those videos which I was able to use with it earlier and grabber take it to my server, now either cannot be fetched. (Edited: I turned off Youtube grabber plugin thats why: Now after pushing fetch button pops up as it has to, but now writes out DV_NOT_VALIDURL text.) Making me crazy....

Sorry I have to say this, but youtube -as I just tested only that- fetcher has to be fully re-tested because it's useless FOR ME - there are several anomalias...

-Because of this, please make avaliable to hide Fetch lines via the backend, because now I can just show fetch, or fetch and upload. I wanna see only the upload from my machine.

-The core is workin' well, just trying to modify the template to look a bit nicer on a black based template.

-Using it with JomSocial, but there are no language files for JomSocial found... Make it avaliable to translate JS activity sentences.

-Of course I'm writing these notices to make that component the best on the market. I know that's fresh with it's 3 months, that's why I'm testing and trying to help u fixing the bugs. When new problems emerging, I will write u down those.

If you are using RC3, please install RC3a the latest version....


Before you do anything.
Make sure you have passed Check up tool first and then you need to pass tester tool...
They are very important for fetching, grabbing and converting.

I'm using a Hungarian translation on frontend.

I checked wiki part, and check up and testing tools as well.
The only red part is: PHP Interface Warning

After making youtube grabber me wreck, I tried dailymotion that's working now...

Sounds like you are using php-cgi ...

It causes lot of problems, please use php command line version instead.

I'll try to reach my host company to solve this. They gonna be happy when disturbing them at Xmas

Other: I take out a mod_dv_list_mini module to my JomSocial's frontpage.
It can not use tooltips, and ruins my JomSocial's core tooltips as well, it happens non-depending from the modul's "Use Tooltip" on/off set.

Could it be solved somehow if someone reinstalling the component, not to create new item IDs?

And to contain the module's links the jVideoDirect itemid parameter?
Also not contains JWplayer's sliding realted videos the components itemID...

Edit: 2 features would be needed in the backend:
1. The flv file's full path, that could be called by other modules if needed.
2. I wanna change the playicons and after choosing the new one, the old thumbs remains. Would be great if it there were a button for re-thumb.

Apx. when will the new release come out?
