I have been on the lookout for a Video CMS but ran across joomla's wide range of extensions. I'm aware that jvideodirect is a new component and has many good reviews/praises. I have a few inquires before i proceed to purchase jvideodirect.

Just a little information on what i plan to use jvideodirect for,
I would like to start an anime streaming site with embedded video links from other sites and I'm not positive if this one is best suited for my anime stream site.

1) May i know what streaming support sites are available? And if megavideo, myspace, youtube, veoh, imeem and many others are not supported, how long until these service streams can be added into the fetch list?

2) Since this is relatively new and there are so much that can be expanded on, (just a suggestion) shouldn't the subscription be longer for each term because there will be constant updates to improve on in the future. Which leads to people think "why purchase it now?" when in fact if anyone purchases it later the product will be better and their subscription time won't go to waste on fix/improvement updates.

3) This is an else if from the question above. If the subscription expires will clients still be able to download the updates or would they have to subscribe in order to download the update?

4) Is the template skin based off the main template or does it have it's own template?

1. Jvd currently support 11 sites ( see here )

2. For such a big project, we have put in lots of efforts, time and other resources.
We have priced it relatively low.
In terms of subscription plan, we have 4 plans to choose from, longest period is 1 year. Do you expect a plan for more than 1 year?

3. When subscription expired, download area for subscribers will not be available, users will need renew their subscription.

Relatively, how long until new stream sites are included into the fetch list?
and also does this process linkage from example:
mysite.com/dsfsdf.flv?

there will be a tool to import those videos with external link in version 1.1

Version 1.1 is targeted to be released on or before end of this month.

We have a list of sites to be developed as fetcher, but they are not in the priority. If you have sites in mind that you like to use with JVD, why don't you post it in the "suggestion" section. We will see if we can have it released together with Version 1.1 or straight after version 1.1
