I'm using a custom multi-site system similar to jms2win.com.
All component files are stored in a common directory on the server and used by all the Joomla sites.

However, I can't get jVD to work on the slave sites.
It appears the process of saving the thumbnail images attempts to save the images in the path relative to the source directory...not the actual site.

<website>/components/com_jvideodirect/*
Is using files from
<SYMLINK SOURCE FILES>/components/com_jvideodirect/*

What will it take to enable the symlinked files to write to

<website>/jMediaDirect/videos/pics/...

I've had to move other thumbnailing functions into the <website>/media directory so they use the path relative to <website> (/media is unique to each site, not shared)

Can you perform "search by directory" ?

operation that points to /jMediaDirect/ should be using absolute path.

what did you do to get the above result?
fetch from 3rd party sites ? video upload ?
