TOPIC: Pre Sale Questions

I would like to use the component on a project. The client want to add a feature that allows their members to upload their own video to the website. I have a few questions:

1. Is there a way to disable "Allow Embed"? When you upload a picture, it asks if you want to embed it. Is there a way to disable this feature or allow the admin to control if embed will be available on the website? Is this possible?

Basically, the client want people to watch the video only on their website, and do not want to allow embedding to other website. Bandwidth concern here.

2. Is there a way the admin can run their own ad without using ad agencies? For example, admin can control what kind of ad they want to run on their website. Is this possible?

3. Does the Download to Server feature allow you to grab a video from Youtube and download it on my server? And the video will play from the server and not from youtube. Please, clarify.

1. We do not handle pictures except for video thumbnail images.
Yes you can disable embed to individual videos or disable it globally in admin

2. yes, the built-in ad solution only cater jwplayer inplayer ads. You may just use traditional joomla module positions to place your ads anywhere you like

3. yes it does but you need a converter to be installed in your server.

1. My mistake, I meant videos

Where do you disable embed globally? I have not seen it.

2. What is jwplayer inplayer ads?

Let me clarify. I want to place my own ads on the video, as an inlay, similar to Youtube. Is this possible with the component?

3. So, with the converter in place, embedded videos can be saved directly on the server and played from there.

This is not what I am looking for.

The client wants to run their own ads on their website. They want to allow their members to purchase ads through them. They want the ad to display at the end of each video randomly.

They do not want to use an ad network or agency, nor do they want to sign up for an external ad solution just to have ads play during each videos.

It seems that the component will not work as it requires a registration or use of external services to display the ads.

Please, confirm this.
