I'm testing out the component before purchasing and so far I'm satisfied, except for one glitch. When I click on a menu item on the main page (e.g., recent, featured, popular, etc), it doesn't respond like in your demo. In the demo, the items act like tabs and the content below the menu items change, keeping you on the same page. On my site, a new page opens and my template goes bye bye. jvd uses jquery no.conflict mode to make it compatible with joomla mootools.

all other jquery apps used is also required to be in no.conflict mode..

you need to make the above javascript to no.conflict mode.
To resolve your issue, edit those files and change all "$" to "jQuery".

on second thought...don't really want to mess with my menus since they're not conflicting with any other program, and from what I can see, they are using jQuery. Think I may just have to give up on jvideo. too bad.

by turning it to no.conflict mode doesn't mess up your menu, but anyway, it's your choice

I did attempt to change the $ to jQuery, and you were right. It didn't screw up the menu. However, it didn't fix the problem either, so I put things back the way they were.

Did you mean every instance of $, or just when it is by itself?

I guess she didn't see my question. Anyway, for those having a similar issue, my problem stems from the jvideo js not working correctly unless I alter my superfish menu js.

Well, I did as suggested and replaced every instance of $ with jQuery. Good news and bad news. Jvideodirect finally worked correctly! Yay. That was the good.

Unfortunately, it did in fact break the menu, as the drop-down no longer worked. I could scroll over a top-menu item to get the submenu to appear, however as soon as I went to click on something, it immediately disappeared.

BTW, in order for the jvideo tabs to work, I had to change all of the superfish js files, not just the two that cassie noted. I've since undid the changes so I can have a working menu.

Any suggestions? anyone? anyone?
