I jus downloaded the extension and on the demo site it all looks super. I want that too!! Getting Started mentions that it is simple the installation. Great! I love that! See whether the free version works and than upgrade to paid services. NO problemo. So excited.

BHammm, reality hits.

- checkup does not work (how to get to step 3)
- fetch links of youtube clips, but no player shows up when title clip is clicked
- do i download a player?

Read the forum and see that more people have problems. But the answer become technical. I have joomla experience, but i am not a technical guy. It supposed to be simple as the 'salespeople' wrote.

What do I do now? Normally I would have stopped, but it looks to good to give up too easily. Can anybody help a poor, frustrated guy.

Ensure you pass "checkup" tool.

Once it's passed, everything is fine.

If you have converter installed on your server, you can test file conversion at "tester" tool.

What do you mean by "step 3" ? background processing ?

This is the feedback I get if I do the checkup? Everything is OK, isn't it? I have no converter. I simply want to show linked (embedded) clips.

It only means that installing jvideo is not that simple. What Am I Missing?

hi i have similar problem. I can fetch from yt, but no thumbnail, and cant pass step 1. I did the 777 for jvid folder and with -R, also set for root user but no change. What can i do?

first of all, select "add video mechanism" to "fetch and embed".
goto to "checkup" tool, ensure all is passed.

and you should be able to fetch video.

I said i dont have any other problem, just that i set chmod 777 or for apache and your program still says its fail. My linux expert admin friend said its all done, but nothing changed.
