i subscribed, and i'm trying to download and install the latest core files. the free core file installed no problem, the latest one is not.

I was haveing problems with the Jvideodirect so I removed it completely from my site directory, by doing a full restore from when i backed up my site before installing.

so i'm trying to install the latest core package and i keep getting the error, "Error! Could not find an XML setup file in the package."

there is currently NO XML file in the latest core package under downloads.

am I missing something?

also I did try the directory install and got the error message "no package files in this directory" or something like that.

so sorry guys, please download again. We posted the wrong file.

ahhh I knew it!

well what i did was go and put the contents of that old zip in the components/com_jvideodirect directory

and re-wrote all those files...

but after reading your post about posting the wrong package, i went ahead and uninstalled jvideodirect, and installed the new latest core package file.

everything apears to be working fine, if you know of any problem I might of caused please let me know as i am a newb.
