I just tried making a video private. It works great on most pages where you cannot find a link to it. However, if you look at a users channel, the private video is displayed and you can click on it to view it.
Other than the channel page, there is no other place I see the private video appearing.
Is this a bug or just something with my setup?

You can watch the video from the QuickView popup as well from the general Channel list.

OK. If I make my playlist private and require a password, you cannot view the video. However, if someone wants to view my channel and I allow them to, then you can view the private video.
I would think that a videos setting of public or private would override the Channel setting of public or private.

If the video is marked as private, it will not be listed in any public area.
Channel consider a place for the owner to list all his videos (both public and private).
Apart from the URL, we also need a way to show private videos.

So why does a video marked private able to be viewed via channels if you are not logged in? I thought private meant only the owner could view it.

Hi Kennibc,
Yes a private video in a channel will become public in the current release.
privacy settings for channels will supersede video settings.
guess that there is room for improvement.
