I have this problem too.

I'm not using Jvideodrect as my main front page component and it's causing major problems as links from verious places such as from the JomSocial activity stream, Video list modules (not on main video page),videos in the JW player and even from the video search do not contain item ids.

This means if some body links from any of these they don't see the correct page with all the published modules etc:

when will the next version be out. This makes the category display useless.

Our plan for the next version has many things in it.
It was targeted in mid Feb.
Let me see if we can cut our plan into half and get an interim out in jan
